low budget lowering

I've been searching and hunting for a cost effective, read affordable airbag setup. I was hoping to locate a kit that was reasonably priced. But what I have found so far is that alot of the kits are just priced right out of my low budget. Ranging from 3 grand and up. For me that eats up a ton of the budget and I don't want to sacrifice safety nor being able to haul. I would like to know how many of you guys and what did you do to put together a low buck airbag setup under your trucks? What parts? Sources and so on did you use? And a few pics ta boot. Thanks.
