Out there question
Hey everyone,
I am building a nice new Big brick shed on my new block, and to give it a bit more style out the front I want to build a 50's diner. Obviously they were not real popular here in Australia, and ive trolled google for ages but I cant seem to spot something that will suit? Anyone got any pictures of a diner at home? or an idea for me? I've attached some pictures of some of my ideas. Thanks Shane

Re: Out there question
I think you did a great job. Are you able to paint the main structure a medium gray to " hide the big building" and the the diner painted white would stand out against it.

Re: Out there question
The style of the drawing is art deco, a look associated with many diners. Capturing that style is kewl enough and would stand on it's own merits. But the traditional look of a diner, to me, resembles the shape of a railroad car or bus and includes plenty of stainless steel. Since diners originated outside Boston you'll get a more classic interpretation by looking at New England diners. I've eaten at some of the diners on this page: http://www.dinerdon.com/listofdiners/index.html If you poke around his site there are more pictures. Here are a few places I've been to (the photos aren't mine).
