Re: Gas Tank Swap
Take the measurements on your tank. Then go to ebay, do a search for a 69 camaro tank-------compare the measurements. I think the chevelle tank might be too wide--where the camaro tank will definitely work (many are using the camaro tank with the filler behind a drop down license plate.

Re: Gas Tank Swap
I did agas tank swap using a 78 chevy van small tank, and it has worked out great. It is a side fill,so I grafted a door on the side of the bed.Couldnt use flip down at license plate as have a trailer hitch behind plate.Van gas tank is compatible with the truck gas guage.Have to remove crossmembers for spare tire and make new ones for the tank.

Re: Gas Tank Swap
I am going to try a 70 chevelle gas tank, a 67-72 chevytrucks group member on facebook did the install in his truck and he mounted it flush with the frame, where the camaro tank i have seen members had to put 3 inch spacers between frame and tank. I ordered my tank from rockauto for $343 with fuel pump inside tank. they have a regular chevelle tank for $115 and a camaro tank for $85

Re: Gas Tank Swap
That's the one I was talking about, the only problem I might run into is my truck is short wheel base, might be a very tight fit

Re: Gas Tank Swap
I don't think it would be any lower than a blazer tank..... I would like to see a rear shot though....
