'64-'66 Deluxe windshield trim clips: hard to find?

Are the four small tabs, or clips, for '64-'66 Deluxe windshield trim hard to find?
It seems like on the '60-'62 wide windshield trim, they are always missing. Is that the same with the later trucks?

Re: '64-'66 Deluxe windshield trim clips: hard to find?

From what I’ve seen of other members needing caps for both skinny and wide trim they seem to be missing about equally, other than the wide trim being so much rarer to begin with.

The problem being almost nobody is willing to break up a full set to sell the caps alone because the rest of the trim becomes unsellable. The later trim may have a small advantage however because the skinny 62-63 caps may fit the later 64-66 trim so there might be more to pick from at the wrecking yard level.

I too had the clips missing from my 64. It took 3 years searching off and on at the local pick a part. Found a complete set, wide ones like mine. The best part paid 12 bucks. I was told that one of the GM cars had the same clips. I was going to match them up at the car and truck shop in Orange, ca. Maybe Mar-k should start making them also.

I didn't know the '64-'66 windshield chrome came in wide and narrow... I thought only the '60-'61 did, and the rest were narrow.

I was at the junkyard yesterday, and there was a picked-over '65, and two of the windshield trim pieces were bent, and one of the clips was already off... but I found it laying under the hood in the cowl area. So I snagged the other three. They're an inch and a quarter long, and 1/2-inch wide.

How wide are the "wide" ones?

The wide trim is just under 7/8" wide. Here's a comparison shot showing the difference in the shape of the trim. The open backside of the wide trim makes it much easier to repair:

So there is definitely wide trim for the '64-'66 windshields?

I've got two full sets of wide trim for my '61 Suburban with the wrap-around windshield, and here's narrow trim for those too. Trying to figure out if they made both narrow and wide for the '64-'66, or just the narrow.

I went out and glanced at my '61 set, and it has the same profile as the wide one in your pic.
