Suttle lower/disc conversion
My 69 c10 appears to still be at correct factory height.I want a slightly lower and more important level stance.I will be doing a disc conversion at the same time.I will be dealing with ECE,I own a small business and customer service is very important to me.I have spoke to them but I am interested in sourcing some good info here as well.Being open to suggestion but I am thinking 2/4,should I keep factory style spindles and get the drop in the springs or go the drop spindle route? It will be a 6 lug application. There are some discounts available right now so I need to pull the trigger. Thanks,Mel

Re: Suttle lower/disc conversion
For no more of a drop than that I would do the springs. Well that's what I did anyway. It's cheaper and not as much work to do.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

Re: Suttle lower/disc conversion
You may be able to use the light duty 6 lug 88-91 3/4 ton rotor on it. Not sure if 73-87 3/4's were offered in light duty 6 lug

Re: Suttle lower/disc conversion
If all you want is a 2/4 drop I would suggest just a spring drop.
BUT,... be aware that these 2" front drop springs are 2 inches lower than "brand new" stock height spings. In a lot of cases they may actually raise the front of your truck since it has 43 year old sagging springs. ECE has some great "stance" photos on their website. (www.earlyclassic.com) I would look at those and see what drop you like. Or look around in the 67-72 Projects and Builds area of the board. Find a ride height youu like and contact that member. There are tons of helpful people here.

Both can be returned to stock. Just my opinion,... but I would rather have disc brakes first,... before any other mod. I know alot of people like having the lowered look,... but brakes are more important in my book. And if you buy drop spindles, you get both.

Re: Suttle lower/disc conversion
Brakes are the priority, figured I would do both at same time.I have made 2 calls to ECE,next contact will be an order. Can't wait. The a/c was a big upgrade but excited for the drivability of disc brakes and a better stance.
