WTB crew cab roof section
I am in need of the rear 10 inches or so of a crew cab roof. I just bought an 87 crew and removed the air foil piece to find the roof is completely rotted out under it.

Re: WTB crew cab roof section
Im not sure, if they are different body styles or not, but i am going to be scrapping a cab off of a 79 crewcab big block dually and might have the piece of the roof you are looking for. do you have a picture of what part in particular you are looking for? i can check and see if the cab i have is good enough.

Re: WTB crew cab roof section
this pic is not of my truck but i marked out what i need in red. It is the rear of the roof. I will take some pics of mine tomorrow. I'm not 100% sure if they would be the same from 79 to 87, maybe someone will chime in on that.

Re: WTB crew cab roof section
Let me check the condition of the roof on that section of the cab, i wouldnt ask for much, i could imagine shipping would be the most expensive.

Re: WTB crew cab roof section
BTW, is could be easier to replace the whole roof skin than replace a small part. That is what my body guy told me when he replaced mine on my reg cab...

Re: WTB crew cab roof section
Thanks Ray
esbstuff, I would like to replace the whole roof and not weld a piece in but shipping would be too expensive on something that large. Someone is taking the air foil pending the shipping cost. If it does not work out i will let you know.

Re: WTB crew cab roof section
ray, How large of a piece are you planning on sending? I hoped it would be able to be shipped ups. I need 12" measured from the rear toward the front and cut at the rear pillar like i drew in my pic. I'm don't ship stuff often so i don't know the limits for oversize. Just trying to save where i can.
thanks, jason 1774btcrew, I will have your shipping quote tomorrow.

Re: WTB crew cab roof section
Jason, I plan on cutting it 12" from the back and on the pillars as drawn. I can send it fedex, but don't know exact quote until cut. I will guarantee that the max will be only $15 more than the greyhound ($290 total shipped). A business address will help save on the shipping.
1774btcrew...Thanks for the kind words! Thanks, Ray |

Re: WTB crew cab roof section
Ray, PM me your paypal address i'll send you the $275 and give you my work address its commercial. Also if shipping via fedex is within $15 of greyhound i would rather send you the extra money to do that as long as it's not a bigger hassle for you. If its gonna be a big hassle on your end just send it the easiest way.
, jason
