1969 C-10 step side

Looking for some advice on a possible purchase. I have a local man who is selling a 1969 Chevy SWB c-10 stepside, 6 cyl, 3 speed on fllor. Bed floor rails rotten, door, rockers, floor are bad. The worst part is the roof line inside top near the pinch weld is rusted all the way through. Is there a re-pop of this piece and if not, how hard is it to repair. I am a decent welder, not great. thoughts?

Oh by the way, I think I can get it for 500 bucks. It also runs but the rear axles are out. Trucks a mess!

Does it have a title? Even with a title, it sounds like a parts truck only. Are you set on a swb truck? My suggestion would be to pick it up if you have the room and use the chassis and look for a good lwb cab and clip donor.

Yes it has a title. it's a shame. I know its going to sit there and just rot away! I feel like a rescue for old rusty chevys some times

lmc has one for around $100, they fit really well, ive put two in, ive repaired some really rusty trucks, id rather cut rust out and patch with new metal than fix a dent any day,, the truck sounds like a decent enough price,

Sounds like a parts truck unless it a has a rare set of options. At some point you have to ask yourself if you are saving the truck, or just the VIN plate.
