Motor ID please
I parted out this 71 truck I think its a crate motor, the back left pad says
GM 5.0 LG, any ideas on the size for sure? I've never seen one with this on it. Thanks for any help, Randy

Does it have any more numbers on it? You could pull a valve cover and get the head casting numbers.

Randy, the 5.0 tells you it is a 305. You will need the rest of the numbers to know more. But it is a 305.

I haven't checked the front pad yet, but I was afraid it was a 305, my buyer was wanting a 350, dang it.

I've got a late roller cam 4 bolt main block if you need one. It's rough but it'll clean up with a .030" overbore and a bath in the hot tank...
