Which Lugs?

I am getting ready to swap my axles from 6 lug to 5 lug and have a pair of Moser axles getting ready to go in. My question is which lugs do I want? These say "typically used with disc brakes (7/16" - 20 x 1 3/4"), is that the size I want? Wheel wise I will be going with Weld Star Pros.

Thumbs up Re: Which Lugs?

You can buy the studs from generally-local stores like NAPA. Other locals should supply them as well, maybe cheaper. The stud size from '71-upwards is 1/2-inch, 20 threads/inch, and .535* knurlsize (shoulder-size that presses into axle-flange-holes). *.535 should work just fine in a .530 knurlsize-diam. hole* NAPA price is approx. $2.50 each. Be sure to get grade 8!

As far as what lugnuts to use, it is generally best to check with wheel-mfg., as tapers vary from wheel to wheel.
HTH,
sam
