Fender Removal

I have a 1977 Chevy C10, and I need help once again my square body family and friends, I'm going to be taking off my fenders so that I can finish sanding my fenders and prime them as well. Has anyone taken off there fenders, and have pictures? Or can give me step by step instructions on what I need to do to help me take the fenders off.

Re: Fender Removal

Three bolts on the rad support, 5 bolts on the side of the fender. One below the cab, one on the hood cowl. One on top in between door and all the bolts on that attach the inner fender well. If you leaving the fender well in leave the 3 on bottom of rad support. I'd post pics but in not near a computer. Once I get near one I'll post all pics needed.

Re: Fender Removal

Awesome thanks so much, but the bolts are none that I should have a hard time getting to huh? All pretty simple just a lot of unbolting? Will I need to take any of my front end apart?

Just trying to make sure I have it all covered in advance so I don't run into any surprises along the way.

HAHAHAH I just did that this morning putting my core support back on the fenders. The one like at the bottom middle of the headlight area was to tough to get to with my ratchet so I just didn't put it back on

Re: Fender Removal

Those bolts might be a pain in the arse but they are not impossible either. Be proud of yourself and put them back in.

Not trying to preach, just don't understand leaving bolts out that might take you a few extra minutes to install.

Looks good man! And while the fenders are off remove those rubber seals that are next to the door and check for rust.

because I wanted to remove the pieces of trim on the body just in case I ever wanted to sell the pieces they'd actually be in good condition and take off the Silverado logo.

What rubber seals are you talking about exactly?

I searched up some and I know what your talking about now so ignore my question, check lmctrucks, classic industries, brother's places like that, could even look into rock out might have them too.
