High and Low beam wires at 01-02 BCM?

I want to do the "all on" headlight mod (lows stay on with highs on) but I don't want to pull my entire electrical center apart to do it. Are there high/low beam wires at the BCM?

IIRC, I did the 4-hi mod on my 2000 by just cutting the yellow wire on the socket that goes into the lowbeam light, and grounding it to the core support...I'll have to double check since it's been so long, but I think I added some wire, and put a connection on the end to fasten it under an existing bolt...

On both sides of just one? Thanks for the help; I think that's about what I read about doing at the electrical center too. Something about grounding a yellow wire.

I did both sides, but I found out after I did it that you only need to do 1 side....Like I said earlier, I added some extra wire with a connector to the yellow wire that I had cut/stripped, and put a terminal on the end of it...Then just ran it to an existing bolt on the core support...I made sure to take some sandpaper and remove the paint, so it would make good contact then repainted over it...I also went ahead and used some shrink tubing where I had spliced and put the connector on....Google "4-hi mod for 99-02 silverado" if you get stuck...There are a few good how-to's online.....

All the How-To's I found were telling me to pull the electrical center apart and find that yellow wire in there, which is jus too much work for something I don't need to do all that bad. You've told me all I need to know though; ground the yellow wire coming from one of the low-beams. Thanks.

Re: High and Low beam wires at 01-02 BCM?

Well I just did it while I was replacing my DRL's. I experienced a little bit of confusion that I noticed after finishing was shared with quite a few others reading that write-up. He makes it seem as though you only ground the bulb side of that yellow wire, but both need to be grounded for the mod to work on both low-beam bulbs. After thinking about it after a couple seconds I figured as much, but I can see that some people cannot answer as much themselves. Will see how it works tonight.
