Transmission and ebrake crossmember I.d.

Is this a 63-66 auto crossmember? It was on a 66 and fit fine. But the truck wasn't a factory auto.

Next question this was the ebrake set up on my 63 when I got it, this doesn't look like the pic in the shop manual, and I went cross eyed trying to find a good picture in the assembly manual. Is this a factory setup? Minus the fancy spacer made of 3/8 nuts.

Re: Transmission and ebrake crossmember I.d.

That auto trans crossmember looks like a '66 to mid 70's crossmember. That e-brake crossmember has been modified to move the linkage to the bottom side. Originally those pieces were on the other side. If you were to transfer those pieces to the auto trans crossmember you have, that would be a '63-'65 auto trans crossmember.

Re: Transmission and ebrake crossmember I.d.

Thanks for the help cap'n, I swapped to a tail mount crossmember when I swapped in a m-21. And have been thinking of how to re connect the e-brake, this may work for me. Does any one have a picture of a factory 63-65 auto crossmember so I can orientate the parts correctly?

I have one at the shop. I'll see if I can remember to take a pic tomorrow.
