76 K20 glove box codes

Hi everyone, I am working on a 1976 K20 and I came across my glove box codes and found an old CB radio certification sticker on the inside roof of the cab. Here is a picture of the glove box sticker. I threw in a pic of the Radio certification and a few of the truck in almost current condition. Basically my question is about Option code ZY3-Special 2 tone paint and 12L-12 FROST WHITE 43 WI and would like to see what this looks like. I did a search and did not find any "white frost special 2 tone" and found on a forum somewhere that the 12L code means Secondary color, exterior, silver met (91). Any help will be greatly appreciated, Thanks

Re: 76 K20 glove box codes

Here's the info packet for a '76 Chevy truck, as shown in the GM Heritage Center archives. It will show the ZY3 paint scheme as well as a bunch of other interesting specs and info -

ZY3 is primary color applied everywhere (including the roof); secondary color is in the inset between the body side moldings.

My interpretation is that your truck was primarily code 43 Willoway Green, with code 12 in the inset, and with a green interior. You are correct that "L" means secondary color; "U" means primary color but I don't see the "U" on your SPID.
