Problem with my heater outlets
When I switch it from AC to heater the hot air still comes out of the AC outlets (on the dash) instead of down by your feet or the defroster outlets. It use to do this and it fix itself before.

The flapper cable is the one mounted on the floor vent housing. Make sure it's operating. The flapper will get old and start falling apart after years of operation also.

Same problem on my '72 Blazer. The flapper valve inside the heater box isn't moving correctly.

Re: Problem with my heater outlets
you might check to make sure your cable that controls the flapper door is adjusted correctly. also depending on the a/c system you installed you may be able to remove the section of plastic where the flapper door is and make sure there is nothing stuck in the door/in the way of the door completely closing. both are common problems.
