Bed mat?

Anyone know where I could get a rubber bed mat to fit a 72 fleetside , shortbed? Seems they all sop at 1973.

Re: Bed mat?

I have seen people use the rubber mats they sell at like Gebo's or tractor supply it would be a cut to fit I assume! but they sure are heavy duty!

Re: Bed mat?

Tractor supply, they sell DeeZee brand, I have used it in a few trucks. The 73-87 mat should be pretty close, just trim a bit if needed.

Re: Bed mat?

Too bad I just sold the 71 long bed, otherwise I could have taken the one out of my 78 long bed and test fit.

Re: Bed mat?

Does anyone have pictures of fits pretty good. I'm looking for one myself but hesitant to pull the trigger on an unseen product.

I'm wondering about this as well. I would like to get a bed may but would also like to see how the 73-87 mats fit our trucks.

Re: Bed mat?

here's mine that I got from Summit for the 73-87's. as stated earlier the only part that doesn't fit right is around the front and rear of the wheel tub, otherwise it fits great every where else

Re: Bed mat?

I guess no one manufacturers one for the 1972 long bed truck since you guys did the 73-87 version...correct?

Re: Bed mat?

ya far as I know, although if I remember right I think Jim Carter truck parts carried them at one time but I could be mistaken on that one

Saw the Jim Carter version, maybe someone could chime in on the quality or a pic?

Re: Bed mat?

I'm curious if this mat fits as well. It says it for stepside and fleetside. Not sure how well the wheel well cut outs match up? Maybe someone here has bought one

"Cut off edges when used on the step side... Has small "V" in the edge toward the front to also use with later model fleet side..."
Sounds like it's just a 73-87 mat like the others, likely doesn't fit the wheel wells any better.

Yea...I think your best bet would be to find a huge roll of rubber and cut your own, or buy a longbed one and staple an extra piece of rubber to the end.
