77' 3/4 Shortstep project.
I've got a 1977 Silverado 20, with a cut and shortened frame. Me and my dad built a 1972 400 small block chevy 4 bolt main. Bought Edelbrock Perormer RPM aluminum 2.02 heads with 64cc combustion chamber, push-rod guide plates, 3 angle valve job and 1.6 roller rockers. And went ahead and got the Edelbrock Performer RPM cam and the Edelbrock Air-Gap intake, Kieth Black flat top pistons, high volume oil pump 7 quart oil pan, steel crank, Holley AED 750 double pumper manual secondary with no choke. We hooked it to a TH400 transmisson and slapped a B&M Holeshot 2500 stall converter. And on the other end of the driveshaft is a FF-14 bolt rearend with either 4.10 or 4.56 gears. I cut 1 coil out of the front springs, and removed 3 out of 9 leafs from the rear. As of right now, ive removed my fenders, hood, doors, and bed along with the interior for rust repair on the cab. Ill be painting the truck sebring silver. Sorry if my pace is slow, ive been building an airboat at the same time.

Re: 77' 3/4 Shortstep project.
Here's how she looked when i first got her. I didnt like how high it sat above those 26" tires so i cut a lap on the coils and removed 3 leafs.
And this is how she sits now, only a 2 inch drop but its exactly the stance i wanted. Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device

Here's a picture of the bumpstop and the upper control arm. Sorry i couldnt hold a tape measure to it. Its hard to lay on the ground hold the tape and take the pic. But its about 2¼ inches.

Re: 77' 3/4 Shortstep project.
So here's what i got done today. Removed the doors, fenders, hood, and bed to get to the cab corners and where i couldnt reach behind the door. Ive got a major hole in the driver floor board that i have to fix. Ill post some more pictures tomorrow before and after i repair the floor. Any opinions or comments are more than welcome!
