Tire size question?
Right now I have 295/50/15 bfg on my 15x10 cragars. I'm at stock ride height and would like a taller tire. So would a 275/60/15 bfg fit? Or stretch?

Re: Tire size question?
295/25.4 = 11.61" wide
275/25.4 = 10.82" wide (<width>/25.4)x<aspect ratio> gives us the tire sidewall height. (From the bottom of the rim edge to the ground. How 'Fat' the tire looks) 295/25.4x.50 = 5.80" sidewall height 275/25.4x.60 = 6.49" sidewall height So, taking that into consideration .. 295 = <sidewall x2>+<wheel diameter> 5.8 + 5.8 + 15 = 26.6" tire height overall. From the ground to the TOP of the tire 275 = 6.49 + 6.49 + 15 = 27.98" tire height. What I'm saying is fit vs. strech, vs. height .. etc. If taller is what you want you're on the right track. It would give you a little over an inch but it wouldn't be hardly as wide. Could you live with about .75" less width? It would also raise the truck about .70" - Added tire height /2 (top gets half, bottom gets half) Hope this helps. .. Later.
