1972 Chevy C10 - Inside Window Handles
The window handle on the drivers side keeps stripping, it's like it's not on far enough. The handle itself pushes and clips into place. But after about a week, it strips out. When I look at the handle, it looks like it's not FULLY into the socket.
Could it be that the handles I'm buying at Oreily's is not made right? Anybody else have this issue? |

Re: 1972 Chevy C10 - Inside Window Handles
The 72 door panels stick out further than the 67-71 panels and require a longer shaft length on the window and door handle regulators. If someone swapped out the window regulator for one made for a previous model, the handle will not go on all the way.
This could be your problem. |
