Cab divider chrome, what's the trick??
Last night I was putting the cab divider chrome on, or at least attempting to, but couldn't figure out how to get those #^žþ©@ clips to lock on the rivets without looking like I was going to scratch paint. Any tips or hints are apppreciated.

Well I can get the tape at Home Depot. Now patience? Who sells that please?
Thanks for the tip. Posted via Mobile Device

I installed the plastic clips on the rivets first, then the trim strip just snaps over the plastic clips. You might give that a try - I didn't have any trouble with it.
Good luck!

Re: Cab divider chrome, what's the trick??
Try taping up the paint around it first then put the clips in the rivets. Then try sliding the trim from the sides over the clips (the tape is to jeep from scratching the paint with the end of the trim. Then the only ones you have to get clipped over are the curved ends.

Re: Cab divider chrome, what's the trick??
Thanks All. I'll give it a try again tonight. I kept trying to slide the clips in the chrome first....silly me.

Re: Cab divider chrome, what's the trick??
DO NOT slide! put your clips on the studs(rivets) they just snap on. Place tape at the corner next to each door and start at the door location. Place the top edge of the trim on the "ear" of the tab and gently snap the lower half down. When you arrive at the center, slide the connector into place (may be easier to do before snapping into place and repeat with the other side again starting at the door and working to the center install from top down. It is actually a easy trim to install but a pain to get off.

Thank you for the advice. Once I knew the trick, it gave me no grief.
