66 C30 to front disk
How hard is it to upgrade? Are any newer model able to be swapped in?

It is the same as upgrading a C10 or C20 Mike.
I haven't been able to verify whether or not the '73-'86 C30 ball joints will fit the '63-'66 lower control arms. If they will not, you just will need to change the complete suspension, crossmember and all with one from a '73-'86 C30 or a '87-'91 R30/3500.

I have a complete front end that I did this conversion on. I used a 1976 Chevy C30. I did use the crossmember and all. There are two different brake systems in the 70's. I went with the JB-8 it is the heaviest duty of the time.
The truck got wrecked, and I'd sell the whole front end as an assembly or in pieces, if someone wanted it. Everything is new,including control arms. |
