Houston CL finds

I was playing around on CL at lunch and found these. I don't know either of these trucks just found it interesting that 2 would be on there the same day.

Re: Houston CL finds

I haven't seen one of those grill guards like the 54 has since I moved away from Texas in 1977. Seeing one of those on a truck in a wrecking yard in thee 70's usually meant it had a good front end on it as they were stout as all get out. That truck doesn't sound all that far off on price for what is there and what is done.

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

You should see the ridiculous prices on 47-59 trucks here. I saw one guy asking 3k for a frame and 216 engine. 5k for a non titled non running 59 step in poor condition.

These will make you laugh
