Original 65' Corvette Steering Wheel

This is an original, non-reproduction, 1965 Corvette Steering Wheel with mounting hub kit for the 69-72 chevy trucks. I paid $126 for the kit itself from Classic Industries. The steering wheel matches the OEM/NOS woodgrain in our trucks. It has been professionally restored and looks great. It is 16" in diameter.

Was mounted in my truck less than two weeks. I found a perfect, near NOS, original truck steering wheel.

My loss, your gain. $SOLD shipped.

Re: Original 65' Corvette Steering Wheel

I gotta ask, what is the story with the 2 shifters? Did you recently convert to an automatic?

Re: Original 65' Corvette Steering Wheel

That's a good price for the wheel alone and someone gets the adaptor to boot. Great deal!

Re: Original 65' Corvette Steering Wheel

Sorry for the late reply, just got home from work.

The depth of a factory wheel from bottom of hub to the wheel is 5". This set-up with the hub kit is exactly 6". So it sits about 1" closer to you, not a big deal.

The wheel itself is 4 1/8". I had a Grant 14" wheel in it before with the Grant adapter kit.and it sat the same as the Corvette wheel.

Hope this helps.

First "I'll take it" gets it.

I would like to see a better picture of the horn button, before committing to buying. Thanks,

Re: Original 65' Corvette Steering Wheel

Hub has been on the truck two weeks, wheel was completely restored so has NO cracks, scuffs, etc. It is a VERY nice wheel. I just took it off two days ago.

Re: Original 65' Corvette Steering Wheel

You don't happen to have the classic industries adaptor part number do you. I have a 1965 corvette wheel like yours and wouldn't note mind putting it in my 72. Thanks, Lee.

Re: Original 65' Corvette Steering Wheel

push down on the horn button with your thumb at the very edge of the horn button at 6 oclock, with your other hand put 2 fingers at 11 and 1 oclock and pull towards you.....it should just pop out... there's no screws or anything that holds it on...just tension of the horn contacts holds it in place.
