transmission crossmember

Anybody got any pics of a stock cross member for. A 3 spd?

Yes that looks like a bell housing x member, which is what they used. If your trans has a place for a rear mount you can use a auto x member to support the trans instead of the bell housing x member.

That looks like it, same as what my '68 had. When I switched it out for a T5, i simply left the bellhousing crossmember in place and added a traditional trans crossmember to support the tailshaft.

If you're referring to the 3-speed, you don't. I imagine the GM engineers decided that the cast iron housing was sturdy enough to support itself. It's slightly unnerving to have that thing hangin' off like that, but that's how they were.

Your crossmember is missing two wings. It should be an X shape and affix to the top and bottom web of the frame rails. You can see the holes in the crossmember where they originally were.
