Moon visor ?
What I have here is supposed to be a 67-72 moon visor. Its been in my grandfathers barn for over 20 years. Any info on it? Or anyone have any pics with one mounted? I would put it on mine, but I dont want to screw any holes into my cab unless they look really really good.

Re: Moon visor ?
I was reading on here and I dont think anyone makes them for our trucks any more so that would indeed make it worth something.

Re: Moon visor ?
It seems that some companies still make them: http://www.classictruckconsoles.com/...fiberglass.htm
If I recall they were aftermarket and sort of went by the wayside with shaded and/or tinted windshields. They tended to be noisy but since most cars or trucks didn't have A/C or really good radio reception, noise was not a factor. These days with cell phones, modern AM/FM stereo radios some people may not want them on their trucks. Personally, I like them if nothing else for the looks.

Maybe try 3M double sided tape. Just a thought.

Re: Moon visor ?
Is yours made of fibreglass? Does anyone know if the original visors were fibreglass?
I have a fibreglass one for my truck, but one tip was broken off when it was imported. |

Re: Moon visor ?
I actually like the visor. Should look better once the entire truck is painted white.
Thanks for the pic. Looks a lot better in pics than it does in person. |

Re: Moon visor ?
If I recall correctly from my days in the van conversion industry, that is a J & J Fiberglass sunvisor. I'm not sure about the actual application, but it would have been for a pre '85ish Chevy, Dodge or Ford van.
