damage report!

so this past weekend we got dumped with about 15 inches of snow so i got out the mud truck and was doin some playing and everything was going great until i decided to plow through a snow bank at my house and that is when i broke it lol.... popped the pinion nut off my Dana 60 front which caused it to get shoved into the diff letting my front drive shaft spin freely about my undercarage pulling a tranny cooler line off then put a hole in my oil pan! i got it shut down right away so i didnt run the engine dry of oil thank god! here are some pics! enjoy!!!

Re: damage report!

at least it did'nt happen 50 miles out in the bush leaving you a nice hike home! with all the fluids you dropped, it must be pretty slimy under there

Re: damage report!

yeah there isnt much for trails or public land that they allow people to drive around on in Minnesota especially in the winter lol so i had no choice but to play at home lol... we have 40 acres though so its enough room to have fun on... yeah i had a great time! after all they are only parts and they make new ones everyday!!

Re: damage report!

Oh it probably would've broken in some inconvenient place at some point anyway.. you just helped it along!

Hopefully you get it back and running smoothly again soon!

Re: damage report!

Sometimes i wish i got that much snow because the suburban would love that lol but if somethings breaks i don't like fixing stuff in the cold i prefer a hot day in the mud

Re: damage report!

just a little update on the repairs on my baby here... after further inspection i also ruined my headers the driveshaft smashed two of the tubes but i ordered a set of flowtech afterburner headers and i think that i will like them much better anyway.... my truck is still not back together as i have only been home twice since i did this. as of right now the truck is on jack stands in my buddies shop while i fix everything i got the new oil pan on it and front diff apart i also ordered new springs all the way around for is as i want to get rid of the blocks in the rear and i dont like the front springs they are way to soft for my liking. im hopin to have it back together by april 24th cuz i want to take it to louisana mudfest for the Trucks Gone Wild event in colfax
