Re: Door Handles
I was wondering also if anyone had tried to paint or powdercoated their handles.

Re: Door Handles
I just bought replacements from Classic Industries two weeks ago. It was cheaper and less time consuming then having sand all the pitting down. They went in easy and look original. Just make sure you get the new gasket set if you get new ones.

Re: Door Handles
From what I have read on here a lot of the repop handles ware out in a few years of use. With that said win the time comes I plan on having my original handles, along with some other original parts re chromed.

Re: Door Handles
I usually get about 6 months before the pitting starts with the repro handles. My trucks live outside however.
They do look great when you first get them but don't expect too much...

Re: Door Handles
I plan on buying repops from classic too. Still keeping the originals for safe keeping though.

Re: Door Handles
Well , as much as I want to have my handles re chromed . I will get re pops for now. The price to re chrome is high for just 2 handles . So I'll wait and see if I have more stuff down the road and hopefully save some money ?
Thanks everyone for your input. |

Re: Door Handles
I had a set pc'd a long while ago but they were not the greatest too start with but(it was the kids choice and the pc was free)
I know they have a chrome looking pc( not the greatest looking) and wandering if it would help the pitting on new handles

Re: Door Handles
My truck has repop handles from LMC, they have been on there since May I think and still look great and my truck stays outside.
