Rust repair what to do first?

So I need to cut out rust from the side cab floor, replace rockers, lower door skin and lower inner inside door panel. So my question is.. What order should I do these in? Where should I start?

That is what I would do also. Door repair can be alot of work find a good set if possible getting harder to find every day!

Do not cut anything out until you have the replacement panels in hand. Then take a good hard look at what you have new and what you have to cut out. This will ensure you do not go too far with the cutting, also you might be able to just do smaller sections.
Before you completely weld in the rockers you need to refit the doors and double check your door to rocker gaps. This will be a pain but worth it in the end.
#1 rule.... Take your time
I too would start with the floors, and you can even weld in some bracing to help keep the cab door openings square, so nothing moves. Do this before you start cutting and it will make things go smoother for you.

Re: Rust repair what to do first?

When I started working on mine I was just gonna cut out the rusty parts and weld in new stuff, as I'm cutting and welding I realized if I want to do this and have the truck last more than just a few years I needed to get rid of ALL the rust first. So my recommendation is to take the truck apart and get it media blasted, I did mine and don't regret it a bit, not only am I not dealing with dirty rusty metal I'm able to see ALL the damage done to the steel by the rust. When I'm done replacing panels I will truly have a rust free truck. Living in Maine that's a good feeling, good luck with your truck!

I agree, If I was to do it over I would blast it first. It would have save a bunch of work (sanding and filling). My truck is still rust free from all the metal work I did. I did repair one of my doors and one rocker panel. The door I took the door skin off and replaced thew lower half of the door. I was lucky I only had minimal rust on the whole truck. Good luck and take your time. You can see my build (1962 c10 update).
