NOS grill i.d. help
Any way to positively identify if a grill surround is GM? I know the gmc grills have a part number, but how about the 71-72 chevs? I bought this today from a guy who says it is a GM surround and been in his posession for over 15 years. There are some minor imperfections which tends me to believe it may be GM.
Any ideas?

Eric, The press indentions at the top "shelf" are linear in nature on GM units. The repops have a indention but it is shaped like the body hammer pick has hit it if that makes sense- it is domed with a point. Hope this helps, Harold

i have a 100% OEM to trade thats dented, nicked, and scratched if you dont want this beauty on your truck...

Looks GM to me. It could be the picture but GM grills are not as bright as the reproductions either. GM annodized their grills and the reproductions are clear coated. WES
