Upper control arm bracket question
Hello All
Very new here (1st post)and have a question about the upper control arm mounting brackets that attach to the frame that have the 2 control arm mounting studs. The problem I have is my truck is a 77 Chevy P10 chassis UnionCity built aluminum step van (the little one) with a 292 ,TH350 and GM 12bolt . The thing is a late 60s/70s GM parts bin shopping cart. My upper control arms are 70s style C10 rubber bushing units and the lowers are like the late 60s c10s or 70s 3/4 ton with the grease able pivot ends . Ok heres the problem , Both of my mounting brackets for the upper control arms have been lightened for speed by mother nature to the point its no longer safe looking . I'm wondering if this looks like a 73+ C10 mount and if so does anyone know anywhere its available? Theres really no 2wd pickups around to take a look at as the bodies didn't last here in the northeast , then when steel went up they were sold for scrap. I see LMC has it listed but reading here they are not cheapest or the 1st choice , but are a necessary evil when all else fails Pic attached thanks ahead of time Todd |
