I think the 4wd for 4K would be a steal as a good starting point. hard stuff has been done and it was driven daily.

That was what I was thinking. That truck just looks like fun and it looks like it is set up to be pretty reliable. I've got a brand new aluminum hirise intake in the shed to replace the tunnel ram with along with a pair of never used Edelbrock Elites that would fit.

The 4x4 is a sweet deal. Get rid of the tunnel ram and put a low rise dual carb set up. Tunnel rams aonly work good with manual trannys with high compression motors.
