Np205 Pto Question
How does it work? say i have a winch on the back bumper and I am stuck do i put the x-case in N and the trans in gear then give it gas? Or do I have to be moving for it to work. It was on my 72 gmc 3/4 ton 4x4 with a th350.

The PTO should have its own shifter that engages and disengages. You then can leave trans in neutural, shift PTO to engaged. They are unsynchronized, so it may be best to shut it off, engage the pto, then fire it back up.

It is on the transfer case so i guess i put the trans in 1st and then leave the transfer in N then engage the pto?
