My boss.
"Women should like farts they're funny as hell"
This is, he guy who got me interested in restoring vehicles. That guy has lots of nice mopars I'm not allowed to talk about.
"If at first you don't succeed keep trying until your tired eyes say its adequate"

Re: quotes from loved ones

5 days ago, I picked up my 383 short block from shipping. I got it unloaded and the block mounted on the engine stand. My wife comes home and out to the garage. She says "sweet, your engine showed up, are you going to set it on the truck?" (It's just a bare frame right now) I said, "yes, once I assemble the engine, I'll set it on the frame". She said, "but how are you going to do that without the hood". lol

Re: quotes from loved ones

While picking up walnuts as a kid my dad said the quote in my signature. I doubt he even remembers saying it, but it stuck with me!

Re: quotes from loved ones

I read a quote in a signature on this site that feels right. "A bad attitude is like a flat tire. You're going nowhere until you change it." I don't remember if that's exact but the gist is there. Not a loved one but a quote worth repeating IMHO

Re: quotes from loved ones

Many years ago, as I was about to graduate from hi-school, my Dad and I were talking about "What next." Military, college, trade school, or get a job?

Then he said. "Any knowledge in your head is like a tool in a tool box. It's worthless until you transfer it thru your hands to achieve a useful product with honest hard work."

Impressed me enough to practice it, then preach it to my 4 kids, and still believe it over 50yrs later.

Wise gentleman once told me after I said that I got a new Job . " Learn everything you can about that job . Make your boss think he can't start the work day without you but never forget that your replacement has filled out an application ."

Talking Re: quotes from loved ones

My mom told me before I got married to make sure who ever I decided to marry could cook.

My wife is a great cook. Thanks to my mom!

My dad told me when I went to work for Duke Energy 34 years ago to get as much training as I could. It has helped me through 2 lay off's because of the training I had.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: quotes from loved ones

Gramps had a few:

"Sun shines on a dogs ass atleast once a day" meaning everyone gets lucky at some point.

"Cheap work ain't good and good work ain't cheap".. Kinda speaks for itself.

And at holiday meals, his prayers ended with "those who talk the most eats the least"
