trouble with engine swap

I am converting from BB 2 SB, I have the SB engine stands but cant get the trans to line up once the motor mounts are bolted down. I am wondering if I have correct motor mounts on the block. If I use the BB engine stands everything lines up fine. If someone has a small block mount lying around can you post a picture so I can see if I have the right mounts?...thanks

Why not use the big block stand?

Re: trouble with engine swap

I did use them and everything lined up fine, but I was under the impression that I had to use the sb stands.

Re: trouble with engine swap

Only if you want to use the small block shroud and have it appear to be original.

Re: trouble with engine swap

Did anyone tell you your going backwards? I had a simailar situation on my Chevelle when I went to the big block with soild mounts and it had something to do with the bottom bolt on the motor mount on the driver side, weird. It worked fine with regular mounts but with the solids the bottom bolt did not want to go. Looks like you had it fixed before I stumbled in anyway. Jim
