Having to reload page several times

I have this posted in the site feedback section but I am not getting any responces. I know this will probably get moved but maybe I can get some feedback before then. Thanks

It seems that more times than not I am having to reload a page before being able to see the whole page. Sometimes it will go directly to the page and other times all I get is the site logo and the advertiser at the top of the page. I then have to reload the page and may or may not get the full page to load.

I might have to do this three or four times to get the full page to load. Is there a certain program that I have to run for this site. I even "tried" to email the webmaster of this site but they did not get back to me. Any help would be appreciated.

What browser are you using?

I use Chrome & it seems to work ok provided I have a good connection.

Re: Having to reload page several times

I'm seeing no issues with IE or Opera. I won't use Chrome due to Google tracking.
It's bad enough with the gov't up my rear every time I fart I don't have room for two people up there.

What's your internet speed RS74?
Do you have any toolbars installed in IE?

I have not tested the speed for awhile. I did have a toolbar that had the speedtest but my computer got updated here awhile back and that is when I started to notice problems. Although my speed is not very fast. I have wireless through verizon. I live outside of city limits and it is the only service that we can get.

That's a good thing that you don't have any toolbars. They typically slow you down.

For a speedtest, just go to speedtest.net and it'll do the job for ya.

I'm thinking it's an issue with your computer or with your connection.

It clears everything out everyday. I have sent Liz (moderator) a pm and hopefully I will get somewhere with that. It's weird, sometimes it works fine and other times I have to reload the page. Very frustrating to say the least. I am sure it is a setting that is not right or a program that is supposed to be running.

I don't think so. My computer runs a scan everyday and has proven to be pretty good at catching things. My security has actually blocked me from a few sites that had something on them. When this site had something going on recently it let me know. I run three and four different programs when scanning for issues.

Re: Having to reload page several times

Holy Cow! I got on the internet through Google Chrome instead of Internet Explorer and I have to say there is a big difference. As of right not the pages load so much faster. It might be to early to tell but i will know by the end of the day. My problem may of been using IE.

Re: Having to reload page several times

Try clicking on the little gear on the right, then clicking Internet Options.
Then click on the Advanced tab. At the bottom, click "Reset".

That'll make sure you're working from a clean slate. See if it happens after that.

Re: Google Chrome - Google tracks everything you do on that browser and will make it available to law enforcement and advertisers (who knows what else?).

I prefer Opera. It's fast, customizable, and was the first browser to use tabs so there's no bugs there. www.opera.com
Been using Opera since 1997.
