Newbie from NorCal

Hey all!
I'm new to this forum as a member, but I've been checking it out for a few years now for tech info. (found answers to questions through google.) I'm actually new to forums in general.
My Daily Driver is a '67 Suburban with barn doors, a 292 I6,SM420 trans, and '78 half ton running gear. PO did the running gear switch for the disc breaks, better rear gear ratio, and 5 lugs. But the truck is technically a C20 with reduced carrying capacity. Oh and he cut the coils a bit for "moar loar".
I have high hopes for the future of this thing. I like the current color combo of orange/red body with white roof, but want to put a twist on it when I get all the body work done. I want to go Hugger Orange on the body, and there's a cool off-white color used on new Ford Exploders that I want for the roof. I also plan on dropping in the 350 that's in my fiance's '69 Nova Daily driver right now as soon as I get her numbers matching 307 rebuilt with a little more Ooomph.

Yes, that's right, I have other cool cars taking up real estate in my driveway right now. There's the afforementioned Nova, a '70 F100 SWB truck, and soon to be a '69 Datsun 521 pick-up.

For all you picture whores, I'll now attempt to at least link to some pics I have in photobucket...

...And the engine that currently resides in the Nova...

I'll get some more pics of the nastiness once the weather clears up a bit. The weather outside is frightful!

Ciao,
D

Thanks, vectorit! I've already been all over the site, getting ideas and dreaming about what my Burb could be. I've also seen alot of your helpful posts as well. Looking forward to learning much more here, and I'll be happy to share the knowledge I have as well.
