4x4 Help Needed

I know nothing about 4x4's and need to change wheel cylinder in a 65 GMC stepside and need to pull hubs out about 1/8 inch but don't know how to pull the outer locking part off...it has no bolts as i have read around so how do i get started...i do have the socket with 4 little nubs on it...but how do i get to it. i know this sounds stupid but i have never owned or operated a manual
4x4...so help please...

A size of axle, photo and manufacturer will help get more info. Probably Spicer or Warn type or Selectro. If you do a search using "hub installation" in the box above a bunch of threads come up. Warn are not hard, but there are a few tips that help, if those are the type you have.

On the locking hub most have their brand name on them see what they say.

They are Warn Hubs and they have no bolts or allen heads to remove as i have seen with some.
