What if Chevy built the 2003 Silverado like this??

Here is a custom PhotoShop that I came up with. It is a 67 Chevy that has been upgraded to contemporary build techniques. I lengthened the back of the cab a few scale inches, made wrap around head and taillights, and I added a more contemporary style grille. I wanted the truck to have the classic lines of the '67 truck, but with the technology of today....What do yall think?

Ok this is the third time I tried posting this so I hope it works!?!

I like it but would drop the lower head/fog lamp and just have the upper one. I might be wrong on that mod but it would be interesting to see. I think you did an outstanding job at this. Very cool to be able to build your custom on the screen before you cut the metal. So when are you going to start cutting?

Did you mean a 88-98 stepside bed, or try to come up with a modernized stepside bed using the original fender???

BTW I love your website!!! its got a ton of great pictures, I'm sure you recognize the one I used for the original.

That actually looks pretty good, cool. The cab seems to me to look a little Ranger-ish though. Good job

Usually, IMO, when somebody chops up our trucks and include newer parts on it, I hate it. But I was really surprised at how clean yours looks. Really nice job. I think I would have to stop there, though.

Too bad the new front ends do not look that good on the new trucks. Nice work with photoshop. I like the fleetside version.

very cool!

I sketched something like this before but I had a grille kinda like a 69 but with a crossbar that extended into the headlights like on the new SSR. I'm a sucker for round headlights.

I love the idea of a modern vehicle using some retro cues, especially a new truck. Actually, if you look at the hood and cowl of a 01-02 HD Chevy you can really see the influence of the 67-68 hoods. Put the two beside each other in real life, you'll know what I mean.

That would be a step in the right direction for GM. Much better than the current model.

Notice how the three cowboys and even the dog prefer the 67-72? .

BTW, that "concept" looks great! I would like to see someone actually build that. Maybe even adpat the 6.0 V8 and AWD system out of the Chevy SS for a sort of retro SS '67 truck. Humm....too bad i'm going for an original body on my '72, lol.

great work, You really should send a email to chevy's design headquarters. With chevy's back to retro (monte carlo) ideas and the popularity of our trucks, this may be a big hit.
