Bucket Seats in truck ? I am puzzled ? Help ..

I bought these seat and brackets and not sure wat i have, maybe some one
can help me figure this out ??? I am trying to put these in a 72 GMC cab ..
the brackets are supposed to be for 73 and up ? they look like blazer brackets? if i put them on the hump in floor the back needs to be jacked up.
if i set them back off the hump the back of seat is rubbing back window ...
i am dumbfounded ...

Those are 73+ brackets so you'll have to modify them to fit in your cab. I'm pretty sure the floor pans are different and those aren't a direct bolt in.

Here is a thread that has a lot of helpful information and explains why even the correct seats are not a "bolt in" swap.

Thanks , I understand they dont bolt in same holes , just did not realize
you had to jack the back up 2 and half inches ... would the 72 bucket
brackets have to be set up in back also ? Could not open the link you provided
for some reason ...

The proper (69-72) brackets bolt right in once you drill the correct holes. No modification is necessary.

Except, of course, for the cross beam and the reinforcement brackets.

That is not necessary. Large washers do the same thing.
