Restored my '69 door panels

Cleaned and shined the vinyl

Purchased chrome upper trim pieces off a '68 that were in pristine condition. My old ones were pitted and rusted. Cost for both: $9. These things cost $140 for a pair new!

Purchased two door handles off a '71. Mine were pitted. Total cost for both: $6

Used some chrome shiner on the window cranks, since they were already in decent enough shape

Of course, the $6 tool for removing the inner clips from the handles and cranks came in very handy

Awesome result both esthetically and economically.

Looks real good, going to be getting new chrome door panels for mine pretty soon, my truck is a cheap model I guess and just has steel paint panels.

That's cool. I used to have a Harley Night Train with skulls all over. Not on the paint, but pretty well everywhere else. Served as a good reminder that I was doing what could become a deadly activity if I wasn't careful

You did a nice job cleaning the door panels. What did you use?

Thanks. Believe it or not, just some 409 with a towel. Once they were clean, I followed up with some Maguires dash foam, which is essentially Armorall but it won't crack later on
