Dual diaphragm brake booster
how is the brake pedal feel on a dual Diaphragm booster? does it make the pedal to touchy ?
and what size booster to get.8" 9" or stay with the stock size of 11"

I had the dual on my 69 and have a single on my 68. Both drum/drum. I don't have my 69 together anymore but I don't remember a difference in feel.
If the brakes are bled and adjusted properly and the pushrod on both the pedal to booster and booster to master cylinder are adjusted properly there won't be any noticeable difference. Maybe somone else can chime in on disc/drum or other difference in the feel of the pedal.

i switched my 72 to the dual diaphragm like the one that comes on a stock 72 3/4 ton 4WD.
if you buy a booster (if memory serves me correct) you have to buy a master cylinder also. then the lines from the master to the proportioning valve are different. I did mine, no big noticeable difference. remember your dealing with 40+ year old brake technology, they dont stop like a sports car. |

I have an 11" dual from TuffStuff. My truck stops great with discs in the front. If I had to do it again I might have chosen a single because the dual sticks out quite a bit into the engine bay
