Newest addition to the bowtie family

Picked this up this morning for my son's Christmas present. He needed something for the winter. It's a 94 sport with 233k. Has
350
373 posi
Power everything
Gray interior
New rear, leaf springs and brakes.
Runs great and everything works. Gave 1k for it. Was a great deal.

Re: Newest addition to the bowtie family

Thanks. We just took it for a ride around the mountain. 4 wheel drive works great and kicks in and out immediately with no hesitation. Heat and ac work also. There might be some things to tinker with as he drives it but that's to be expected. Really impressed with the shape it's in with how many miles are on it.
Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!!!

Re: Newest addition to the bowtie family

Very nice! I just bought a 93 (Silverado trim level) for the same price... little less miles (171k) but not quite as nice looking. Hope your son digs it as much and the wife and I are digging ours.

Re: Newest addition to the bowtie family

We're going to pull it in the garage here shortly and take the grill guard and maybe the running boards off. Since its only 28 degrees I think it'll wait to get a Bath. Haha
I always likes these two door blazers but never got one. I knew I'd find a way! Hahaha

Nice, the more you drive it the better you'll like it. I love mine, but it came from PA and has some rust issues under. You got a heck of a deal on that, round here everyone thinks they're worth a billion.

Re: Newest addition to the bowtie family

Great choice for a kid's first truck.
I have a '97 like it, best truck I've ever owned.
Most of these have a slight squat in the rear, I only had to raise mine a bit over an inch to level it out.
First project: Watch Craiglist for a 14-bolt, 6-lug semi-floater with the right gears, needs to be from a 4WD truck. This gets the rear wheels out a bit and makes the track widths almost the same width. This is also a whole lot stronger rearend, it's worth it for your own peace of mind that he's not going to blow the rearend when he does some of the things that kids do...
Great score, I'd have jumped on it, too!!!

Lol. No, my kid is grown. He just happened to be looking for a winter driver and I stumbled acrossed this. Since i have an addiction to these trucks i needed an excuse to bring it home.
The gears were just replaced but sounds like axle bearings need replaced. Has almost like a wine when you turn left or right. That 14 bolt would be a great upgrade though.
