found this behind the seat of my '67 K-20

http://www.patentsearcher.com/sheet.jpg

The paper was all falling apart, circles are where the coils were contacting it, and the series of holes are where other springs were rubbing it for 45 years. I had it laminated onto a piece of paper.

Oilbath Air cleaner. lol Had one of those in my '51.

Seriously though, anyone know of a de-coder ring where I can find out what some of these codes mean ? I'm mostly interested in learning the original color of the beast.

Box #43 says "color" but only lists the letters T and A. There
s the word "ivory" in box 36.

Or, is this sheet pretty much worthless ?

That is the original build sheet. Unless the seat is not original to your truck. Great find. Most are gone by now. It should match to the SPID sheet on the glove box door.

That is your truck's factory Build sheet. It will list all equipment that your truck was built with from the factory. They are a neat piece of documentation to have and fairly rare to be found in our trucks.

I'd definitely keep it if it's original to the truck otherwise it's just a piece of paper. It would be easy to check.

Re: found this behind the seat of my '67 K-20

It clearly shows the exterior color as 526 Ivory with a 514 Blue vinyl interior. The Ivory call out in box 36 should be the grill color.

The major options are pretty clear along the bottom.
Spare wheel lock
Deluxe heater
West coast jr mirrors
Inside mirror
Wood floor bed
Locking hubs
Oil bath aircleaner
Side mount wheel carrier
7.00x16 6 ply tires
Full foam seat
Gauges (without tach)
Ivory exterior (solid)
Blue vinyl interior and blue sheetmetal (two shades)

I guess it doesn't look that bad, thanks for the pic. I'm shy a little on the chrome trim though.

Re: found this behind the seat of my '67 K-20

Understand what you are saying about not having chrome. Without the bodyside molding its not too bad, but without the chrome grill surround an ivory truck can be a bit bland. Right now I cannot remember the correct color for the bumper if it is a true white or the ivory color. Below are a couple of pictures showing what I think is an ivory truck with an older "restoration". While not correct it does give a good overall feel. The interior blue is too dark though in the pictures. On a final note the two-tone factory paint used the ivory vs white on the roof.
