From 1990-1995 I owned and operated Cowboy Towing in Stillwater OK. we made every call in a square. here is the fleet.

1973 C30 350 4 speed with a Holmes 480 and a Century wheel lift
1982 C30 454 4 speed with a Century 442 and a Century wheel lift
1988 Chevy R30 454 4 speed with a Holmes 175 rollback.

aftyer I sold it, the 73 got wadded up and the bed was swapped to a mid 80s GMC.

the company is still open and has all newer Chevy iron.

there used to be quite a few when i was a younger kid,im 18 now and they just kind of dissapeared....

the brochure shows the special body Holmes made to match the 73-87 trucks...a picture of the museum truck ...and our current unit...34000 miles and original paint...belonged to a Chevy dealer

If you haven't already, look up "recoveryteam" on Youtube. They do off road recoveries with a square body wrecker.

1 owner still in use.The owner died in 2006 but his sons are still running the business.1988 GMC 454 tbi around 410,000 miles.several clutches and water pumps,starters and 1 oil pump i think.
