Re: check this out!!!

Very nice original truck, particularly nice if the miles are actual. Not many 2500 series trucks around in that condition.

Re: check this out!!!

I think the line at the front of the hood is just a reflection....not the 79/80 body line

nice unit

Re: check this out!!!

If you look, it looks to have the 79-80 bump on the foreword facing edge on the front of the hood. Is what he's saying. But its kinda hard to see and almost looks like a reflection of light. But I also think its 79-80.

Re: check this out!!!

Just trying to clarify on the differences....

Here is the hood on my 1973(supposed to be original) and the green is from another truck from this site also stated to be a 73.

Is my hood correct or should it have the leading edge bump like the green one?

Re: check this out!!!

Some one can correct me if Im wrong NOT lol, but the green hood is 79-80 like my '79. Yours looks to be correct to me. You see, when people start to fix thing (as you) with many parts interchanging, trucks end up not having to right year stuff on them. Like mine,I like the grill style '78 and older so I switched mine. This is the factory grill which I hung on the wall for safe keeping haha.

i have a cr125 so its 8-13K rpm screaming through trails or the dunes. i couldnt keep it cool enough for the forged pistons to not expand and sieze

Re: check this out!!!

OK so hours later I realized that MM70 was talking about my grill on the wall not the posters >.< DOH! So ya I thought it would be an easy way to keep it and keep it out of the way just in case I wanna go back some day.
