vacuum lines
I have read a little on the pcv and vacuum lines on here last night and this morning (through searches) and am thinking that I may have caused some of the gasket leaks by connecting things wrong or getting an oil filler cap that is too tight... I have a 230 (I am 99% sure) and am wondering if someone has photos that can show where vacuum lines are supposed to be hooked up. There is no power steering and drum brakes. I am going to do some work on it today so I will try to get good photos of where everything goes now while I am out there.

Re: vacuum lines
If you put an oil filler cap on that is not like the original(without the screen in it) the engine will leak, because it has no where to draw air. I know from experience on a 250 I had, I lost the original cap and all i had was the type off a V8. First thing to leak was the side covers. Replaced with OEM cap and no more issues.

Re: vacuum lines
Did you have to replace the gaskets? Or did getting the venting cap stop the leak?

Re: vacuum lines
You will have a vacuum line that goes from the carb to the vacuum advance on the dist. And the PCV will connect to the manifold...there is a port on the side of it. The only other line that you may have is if there is a vacuum guage in the dash.
