Making Progress on th '71

Just got a call from the tow truck driver that my blazer is being picked up to make its way to the transmission shop.

Hopefully it won't need a full rebuild. I got it up and running enough last year to take my boys camping. Unfortunately the transmission lost forward gears on the way out of the campsite.

I really wish I had the funds to do a full blown frame off restoration, but for now I just want to get it road worthy and enjoy it. My plans are to get the rockers and body mounts replaced so I can enjoy the AZ weather we are currently having with the top off. Then get a passable paint job and the factory ac setup I have gathered up installed.

It has slowly come together over the past 7 years, and I am so excited to be getting it closer to on the road again.

Here's a shot from a pit stop on our way camping last year.
