Re: crew cab door hinges ????
I know the suburban lower rear gate hinges are really similar to the regular front door hinges, and the pins and bushings are exactly the same. I'd bet they are robbed from some source in GM-either panel rear doors, burb gates, even might be from a car or van in GM's lineup.

Re: crew cab door hinges ????
The rear suburban/panel hinges actually go thru the exterior sheet metal of the doors. I'd look at something like the side door hinges from a mid-60's chevy van. They are also an exposed hinge, but bolt on to the jamb and the door going thru a notch cut in the outer skin.
Just a thought without pictures to see what you have on the other side. |

Re: crew cab door hinges ????
curious to see what you turn up. I would love to know the coachbuilders source for the hinges as well....
I wonder where the catch strap came from as well? pics in case anyone recognizes them...

Re: crew cab door hinges ????
jonz -- those look similiar,to me anyway, as to what I have on my suburban rear barn doors, especially the way they go thru the outer door skin and use recessed bolts.
Just my take on it. |

Re: crew cab door hinges ????
I agree with Tincan... My first thought was they look just like the lower hinge on my '61 Suburban.
