02 HVAC Stuck On Hot...
Hey guys,
Wondering if any one has ventured down the road of HVAC in these trucks or if its just the turning point of buying a new one. I was working on my truck a few weeks ago (replacing the signal light arm) and like and idiot i left the truck running to keep the girl warm. It was out side in -30 and i needed to fix it cause i had no wipers. I sparked some thing while doing it and blew a fuse that i replaced later on (i forget which on atm) because of the weather i did not notice the HVAC issue till a few days later. I have checked every fused. Every thing works. The fan speeds, the selector for defrost etc, i jsut cant adjsut the temp any more. Suggestions on where to look? Is this a blend door thing inside the dash? is this a regulator in the heater line off the motor? Is there a fuse some where i am missing? I am mechanically inclined but no mechanic. I know my limits. Pulling out the entire HVAC is probably past them. Its winter right now here in the great winter north so its not a big deal but it will be come April. Assuming the truck lasts that long (420km) i need to know if i fix it or buy a new one and retire this ole girl. Advice is much appreciated
