Interior question on being authentic
My dads 67 does not have the correct push in lighter part. My 72 jimmy has a bad lighter socket. I picked up from the parts section a complete kit with authentic parts.
Now, it came with a big ring that goes around the lighter to make it the same looking diameter as the ignition. Did 67's have this big ring? Or did this come on later models like my 72? Were trying to make the 67 authentic looking as possible, even though it didnt come with any options at all.

I'm not sure about a 67, but here's a pic of my stock '69 to help you solve the mystery

Re: Interior question on being authentic
ok, so that is the same exact setup I bought. So it is atleast 69 and newer. Same color as ours too. Thanks for the picture!
Can anyone chime in for a 67/68? |

Re: Interior question on being authentic
Hey, no problem. By the way, here's a link to Brothers for the part they show. They say it is for 67-72. That doesn't necessarily mean its original for a 67/68 though. I googled some pictures, and it looks like it may be different, but good luck finding one. I've had a hell of a time finding a good 67/68 horn button for the 67/68 wheel I just bought, because they don't make them anymore http://www.brotherstrucks.com/prodin...number=CLA0023

Re: Interior question on being authentic
67 has a smaller ignition switch bezel. I believe the lighter bezel was added in 68 along with the larger ign switch to keep things symmetrical. My thoughts anyway

Re: Interior question on being authentic
Yes. 67 was a one year only small lighter. 68-72 had the bigger bezel. 67 also had the knurled edges.

Re: Interior question on being authentic
I also don't recall seeing a 67 with the deluxe(chrome in center) Knob.I have mostly seen base trucks in those years so may just not have seen one.

Re: Interior question on being authentic
thanks everyone. So the one I got isnt correct for the 67. Its a start the right direction, it has some aftermarket one in it right now.
Will keep eye out for 67 style, with no chrome center. |

Re: Interior question on being authentic
I don't recall seeing a 67 lighter without a chrome center.
