Bagged Questions
I just purchased a 64 on air ride and I am very new to air ride suspensions and I have a few issues to resolve.
When I am fully deflated (in the front), the header collector scrapes the ground. It is not a huge issue considering I just need to inflate them. Since I am looking at getting new wheels/tires, would finding a setup that is 1-2 inches taller than the present be my easiest solution? Or what else can I do to resolve that? Also, it is set up with without electronics. I just push and hold a button inflate and deflate either the front or rear. How hard / expensive is it to do an electronic setup? Let me know if there are any other suggestions or ideas with air ride that I need to be aware of. Thank you, Nolan |

Re: Bagged Questions
Welcome to the board! For the best responses to your questions, ask a moderator to move this to the suspension forum. Tons of info there. Some pics of your truck and its setup would be very helpful as well.

Re: Bagged Questions
unless you just want it to be electric, the manual pushbutton valves are very reliable, albiet slow. I have old school toggle manuals on my truck, I have had numerous electric setups in the past, I prefer manual. electrics are pretty pricey, 25-30 per valve and needing 5-10 per valve in fittings, plus switch box. you are looking at 300 or so minimum for an 8 valve setup. that doesnt include check valves, which some guys feel are required because a loss of tank pressure removes the backpressure on the electrics and lays the truck out.
A muffler shop can solve your header collector problem, running larger tires might help but you wont air the truck out as low any longer. larger tires may cause other problems with rubbing.
